Meet our Staff
Dedication. Expertise. Passion.
We are incredibly fortunate to have the wonderful staff team we do.
They challenge our students to reach their highest potential and believe they can achieve anything they set their minds to. They help foster a love of learning and celebrate every milestone. Our staff go out of their way to build strong, caring and respectful relationships with all students.

Being an educator is an incredibly privileged responsibility. I value the opportunity to develop positive and supportive relationships with our amazing students and their families. It is extremely rewarding to be part of a school where the staff know every student’s name; where we work together to ensure we enrich every student’s journey with engaging, student-centred, and contemporary learning.

Having only recently moved to Menzies Creek Primary School I am enjoying the lovely natural surroundings. The students and staff are all supportive and inclusive of each other. I enjoy watching students grow and flourish as they are challenged and supported along their educational journey. My classroom is an open space where all students are treated equally and have the opportunity to learn and achieve their own goals.

The sense of community at Menzies Creek Primary School is overwhelmingly present as you walk through the gates. I feel incredibly honoured to have recently joined the wonderful staff that work together to create a warm, welcoming, child-centred and passionate teaching team that supports the whole child. Each student's individual needs are recognised and nurtured which supports and matches my own personal teaching philosophy and values. I encourage each of my students to make a difference to themselves, their learning, their school, community; as global citizens and lifelong learners.

Menzies Creek Primary School is like a ‘home among the gum trees’, where there is a real sense of community. The staff and the students radiate a friendliness and authentic willingness to help others and to make each other feel they belong to this community. MCPS has a solid background of teaching through the Inquiry model and by now balancing this with Explicit Teaching models, the school is collectively taking the next steps to ensure it continues to drive higher standards in education. As a teacher of the Arts and also the Sciences, I feel I am supported to allow students to explore and develop their interest and passion in many facets of the curriculum. I believe that we all have something to teach and we all have something to learn, and I am happy to be doing this at a school which shares this philosophy.

MCPS has a whole school approach to student wellbeing. It’s a joy to be a part of that as the Chaplain. Using a strengths based approach, I support students individually, in small groups or in the classroom, collaborating with the amazing teachers and support staff so that every child can succeed

The community at the school is inclusive and warm. I really enjoy being a part of the Education Support team and assisting in helping our students succeed. Our 3 guidelines at MCPS are; Do your best, Help others succeed and Respect your environment. These are important to me and I always seem to revert back to them when in and out of the classroom! Our School is located in a beautiful setting looking down the gully at one side and overseeing Aura Vale Lake from the other side. We are really lucky to have our school in such a beautiful place here in the hills.

Menzies Creek P.S. What a lovely place to want to come to work each day. The staff are a very dedicated team and together we want every child to succeed in their own unique way. I love to see the students taking steps forward in their learning journey and celebrate with them their achievements. But I am also there to support them on those days where those steps are a little bigger or harder and together we get there. What a lovely community Menzies is. Staff and families working together for the benefit of our students, to ensure that the important values taught today will stay with them into adulthood.
Menzies Creek. What a great place to be.

Having started at the Menzies Creek Preschool from its inception in 2013, I transferred up the primary school in 2016 to work as an education support staff member. I love the community spirit we have and I believe the commitment and passion our staff show is reflected throughout the school.
