Meet our Staff
Dedication. Expertise. Passion.
We are incredibly fortunate to have the wonderful staff team we do.
They challenge our students to reach their highest potential and believe they can achieve anything they set their minds to. They help foster a love of learning and celebrate every milestone. Our staff go out of their way to build strong, caring and respectful relationships with all students.

Having only recently moved to Menzies Creek Primary School I am enjoying the lovely natural surroundings. The students and staff are all supportive and inclusive of each other. I enjoy watching students grow and flourish as they are challenged and supported along their educational journey. My classroom is an open space where all students are treated equally and have the opportunity to learn and achieve their own goals.

Kate Watkins
Mental Health & Wellbeing Leader, & Visual Arts teacher
I have been at Menzies Creek since 2020. In my time here I have taught years five and six, PE and Art. This year I’m taking on the Mental Health and Wellbeing Leader role and I am so excited to jump into this new role at Menzies.
This initiative involves several key responsibilities, including:
-
Building the capacity of the school staff to identify and support students with mental health concerns.
-
Create clear care pathways and connect students needing further assessment and intervention to relevant services.
-
Coordinating targeted mental health support for students by working with school staff, school community members and external agencies.
-
Implementing effective mental health strategies aligned with social and emotional learning and adopting a whole-school approach to wellbeing and learning initiatives.
You will see me Monday - Thursday in the BER building first thing in the morning. Please feel free to come and say hi and have a chat. I look forward to getting input from the school community about Mental Health and Wellbeing, and areas you think we can improve on.

MCPS has a whole school approach to student wellbeing. It’s a joy to be a part of that as the Chaplain. Using a strengths based approach, I support students individually, in small groups or in the classroom, collaborating with the amazing teachers and support staff so that every child can succeed

Having started at the Menzies Creek Preschool from its inception in 2013, I transferred up the primary school in 2016 to work as an education support staff member. I love the community spirit we have and I believe the commitment and passion our staff show is reflected throughout the school.
